I met Liz twelve years ago, and besides falling in love pretty quickly, I was impressed by her enthusiasm, leadership, and how she “takes on challenges.” Whether climbing to the top of a castle in England, or riding a helicopter through the Grand Canyon, Liz’s disability has never kept her, or us, from doing anything we wanted to do.

Liz was born with an interruption in her spinal cord. She is just four feet tall, walks using a body-brace and crutches, and drives with cool hand controls.

Liz has prepared for parenting by working out, babysitting, and getting adapted equipment to help her with the physical part of being a mom. At work Liz promotes disability rights by keeping services available to the public. She even testified once for Congress!
